1.  LIBRARY OFFERS COMPUTER TRAINING.
Tuolumne County Library is offering free computer classes for adults on Tuesday and Thursday through December 20.  All classes will be offered in “paired” sessions. All information below subject to change, ask when you call.
Classes are on the following topics:
a. Beginner and Intermediate Computer use
b. MS WORD (Office 2003)
c. Introduction to Internet and email
d. “Digital image Processing”
All classes are from 8-10AM at the Library, 480 Greenley Rd. Sonora, and require advance registration.  Call 533-5507 for dates/times or to register .

2. Tuolumne County Office of Education offers the public a series of technology classes this fall.  The classes cover Internet searching; MS Office; Windows 7 Operating System; photo editing, and more.  Cost is $20 to $30.  Location is the Tuolumne County Office of Education.  Call 536-2031 or 536-2030 or go to ctap6.k12oms.org to register.

5.  NEW: Jacob Smith of JC Systems has offered local seniors a program whereby he will discount – to seniors only – his services 20% for home site visits. Normally $70 to $56, WITH free diagnostics, he will also come to your house for individual or group training.  Jacob is a knowledgeable, experienced, extremely personable young local business owner.  Call him at 209-984-0411. Also, if you prefer, he will pick up your desktop machine and deliver it back to you.  (He will bill you by the 1/2 hour minimum instead of the industry standard of one hour.  In other words if his visit takes 1/2 hour or less, he will charge you half the $56, or $28).
